Excited for the 50th Anniversary NABO #Basque Picnic Weekend hosted by the @losbanosbasqueclub — Will be sharing news of my upcoming novel, Murder at the Boardinghouse. 😀

just realized i will never read ALL the books i want to read during my lifetime because my to-read list is ALWAYS growing so i can read and READ every day until i DIE and still never catch up so i guess this is what a midlife crisis feels like.

Yesterday was full of sunshine, chilly air & assessments of all kinds. Fueled by cinnamon coffee & jitters, I was measured, poked & stretched. The results are stable from last time— a WIN when you have a progressive #disability like #spinalmuscularatrophy

found a sunny morning during these rainy days to get my 22nd dose of #spinraza. feeling good… and grateful! ❤️

☀️⏰ Dear Daylight Saving Time — I don’t understand the people that like you. Or like flip flops. Or like sitting in the sun, on purpose, and not just fleetingly like when going from one place to another. I like eating dinner when it’s dark. And then going to sleep during an hour that has only one digit in it. Like 8. I like long-sleeved shirts, scarves and cozy drinks. I don’t want to sweat. I don’t see the point in more sunlight at nighttime. If you like sunlight, get up when the sun comes up. As people did during the era when we weren’t ruled by the tiny gadgets in our pockets that tell us where to go and how many steps we’ve taken to get there. The summer already has more sunlight than the rest of the year, so don’t try to steal the precious darkness from those of us that want to eat dinner at 5pm like a reasonable hermit. Your inventor, Ben Franklin, has been dead for 233 years, so he won’t give a damn if we give you the shaft. You’ve outlived your usefulness. Just like cryptocurrency, skinny jeans and Elon Musk.

@theheumannperspective was a trailblazer for #disabilityrights & i am grateful for all she has done for our community.
